The role of a Business Analyst consists in offering technical support to assess, propose feature adaptation, development & deployment of features / solutions, document the delivery of newly implemented features for tools specific to alarm monitoring, incident management.
Responsibilities / Scope of Work:
- Understand business needs of end user and manage expectations
- Translate Business needs into effective requirements
- Analyze current mode of operations (process, network, tools etc. related)
- Propose future mode of operations, standard solutions and best fit for dedicated cases
- Offer support to application and process teams
- Create Low Level Design document and update the same
- Define Test cases / plan and acceptance criteria for solutions
- Carry out and / or provide support in System Integration Testing (SIT), interface testing with other tools and / or customer tool
- Provide support in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and / or Operation Readiness Testing (ORT)
Technical skills and requirements:
Major tool in scope: ARS/Remedy/ITSM Ticketing environment or IBM Netcool Suite
- Good working knowledge of
- Automation as Correlation in Auto Ticketing
- EMS Integration with Fault management system
- Troubleshooting related to customer complaints
- Service Assurance/ Fulfilment area
- Experience / knowledge of Process Modeling: identify existing workflows, analyze gaps, define requirements, and create optimized workflows in tools like Remedy / SNOW / ITSM / Netcool
- Good experience on data base analysis/Management
- Hands-on experience in tools related to Alarm/Event Management, Incident Management, Incident troubleshooting
- Good and clear communication
- Ability to explain technical details in simple business language
- Primary language shall be English
